OLRC controlled for:
-age
-health
-gender
-number of children
-marital status
-size of town
-labour market status
-education

OLRC (Ordered Logit Regression Coefficient) cannot be interpreted as an absolute effect-size. The coefficients only denote relative differences in correlation and whether the correlations are negative or positive. E.g.in the USA and Taiwan the correlations between income and happiness are lower than in China and Japan.
