 European Longitudinal Survey was carried out by two phases. The first phase, "Keeping the Elderly Mobile" was conducted in 1995 under the European cooperation programme (COST A5). The second phase, named MOBILATE-Enhancing Outdoor Mobility in Later Life) was conducted in 2000 and was sponsored by the European Commission (Project QLRT-1999-02236).
