Name: Hedonic Tone (HT) subscale of UWIST mood adjective checklist (Mathews et. al. 1990)
Classification:
A-AB-cm-mq-v-4-d
Author's label:
hedonic tone
Remarks:
-48 mood adjective items were selected from the adjective checklist of Sjoberg et al. (1979), Thayer (1967) and Mackay et al. (1978) to measure three hypothesized dimensions of energetic arousal, tense arousal, and hedonic tone/pleasure-displeasure.
-Adjectives were presented at random. Ss were instructed to rate the applicability of each adjective to their present mood as "definitely", "slightly", "slightly not", or "definitely not" with 4 to 1 score.
