Remarks
The geriatric depression scale-short form (GDS-SF) (Sheikh & Yesavage, 1986) was used to measure depression. The GDS score is calculated by counting the number of responses that suggest probable depression. The scores on the GDS-SF range from 0 (no depressive symptoms) to 15 (severe depressive symptoms).
