Operationalization
Participants defined 6 important personal goals. Then, goals were arranged in a two- dimensional goal matrix. Goals were compared with every other goal by indicating how the pursuit of the goals supports or inhibits the other goals. The inter-goal relation was scored from -2 (very harmful) to +2 (very helpful). After sign reversal the scale range = -30 (very instrumental goal relations ) to + 30 (very strong goal conflict)
