Unnamed test, first developed for US Army in 1944.
Operationalization
Trailmaking part A. The test comprises 25 numbered circles that are spread out in an apparent random order on a sheet of paper. First is given a sample sheet of 8 circles with instruction: begin at number 1 and connect all numbers in order until the end number. Then the complete test of 25 numbers is given. Subject is requested to correct errors. The score is the time to complete the task. For the purpose of this study the reciprocal of the score multiplied by 1000 was taken.
