- The total sample consisted of 2072 men and 2075 women of wich 242 were homosexual. To reach a minimum of 100 homosexual men and 100 lesbian women an additional acquisiton has taken place through specific internetsites. This acquisition has resulted in 159 completed questionaires by persons with homo- or bisexual orientation. The distribution of homo- and biseksual respondents is: for the women 45% from the basic sample and 55% from additional acquisiton; for the men 87% from the basic sample and 13% from the additonal acquisition.
