 Respondents were selected from the registered list of Old Age and Disability Allowances which covers 90% of those aged 70 years and over and stratified by age and sex.
Respondents N =1557
 Female N=843, Male N=714 Respondents were screened for cognitive impairment using the Information/Orientation Section of the Clifton Assessment Procedure for the Elderly (CAPE), using a cut off point of <7. Excluded from the study were 108 men and 287 women with scores <7.
