Content-analysis of tapes of focused interviews by two independent raters. Scored on a seven-point scale ranging from a sense of nonintegrated temporal experience ("I live only for today" etc.) with no sense of past or future to a conveyed sense of temporal integration, with present experience reflecting a clear continuity with past life and future intentions.
