Operationalization
Response to 9 statements:
a. You would prefer to live in a neighbourhood in which most people have the same cultural or ethnic background.
b. Its is best if most people's friends have the same cultural or erhnic background.
c. A person's social functions should be mainly with people with the same cultural or ethnic background.
d. If you had or have a son or daughter, you would prefer to have him or her marry someone with the same cultural or ethnic background.
e. Marriages between couples with the same cultural or ethnic background tend to be happier than others.

For each item a score of '1' would mean that respondent does not have a preference for association with people with similar cultural or ethnic background; a score of 5 would mean that repondent prefers to associate with people with similar cultural or ethnic background
