Selfreport on sigle question: "the extent to which you are having this type of experiences in your life, at present:
- feeling generally related and connected to the people I spend time with"

Rated 1 (very little) to 7 (very much)

T2-T4 SEMESTER RELATEDNESS-NEED SATISFACTION
Participants free listed the three most time consuming social contacts during the preceding 24hr

Answered for each contact the question  "To what extent did you feel related and connected to the person(s) you were interacting with?"

Rated on 1 (not at all) to 7 (very much)

to form a composite score the nine ratings were averaged
